History/Overview
The Audi RS 3 is a subcompact sport sedan that shares its basic architecture with the A3 and S3, each of which are covered in separate buyer's guide entries. The RS 3 is unchanged for 2020 as Audi prepares to roll out a next-generation version.
Available Trims
Audi offers the RS3 in a single trim, powered by a 2.5L turbocharged 5-cylinder engine matched with Quattro AWD and a 7-speed automatic transmission.
Standard Features
Outside, the RS 3 wears 19-inch wheels and tires, LED headlights, LED all-weather lights, LED taillights, RS-specific bumpers and rear spoiler, aluminum-look accents, auto-dimming/power-folding side mirrors, and matte aluminum mirror and window trim. A magnetic ride suspension and drive select are standard, too.
Inside, there are front sport seats with manual adjustments and power lumbar, diamond-stitch Nappa leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, automatic climate control, aluminum pedals and door sills, passive keyless entry, a 7.0-inch infotainment display, satellite radio, smartphone interface, navigation, digital gauge cluster, and a Bang & Olufsen stereo.
On the safety front, every RS 3 comes with city-speed forward collision detection and automatic braking, automatic on/off headlights, rain-sensing wipers, blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and tire pressure monitoring.

The RS styling package is a cosmetic add-on with rear interior accents, embroidered floor mats, leatherette door armrests, and Alcantara trim with red stitching.
Finally, a black optics package brings black exterior trim elements.
Fuel Economy
Audi's fuel consumption estimates for the RS 3 are 12.1/8.4 L/100 km (city/highway).
